situation of Independent filmmakers and My film

Hi, I'm Kamal bhatta from Kathmandu, Nepal. I'm an actor and a film director. I have Masters in Sociology from Tribhuwan University and I took a 3 month intensive acting course from Actor's studio Nepal, which is run by Anup Baral- a prominent figure in Nepali theatre and a graduate from National School Of Drama, Delhi.

As i finished my Acting course, i acted in some street plays and some Nepali main stream film and directed a short movie based on climate change which participated on UK-Nepal Climate change Competition 2009. When I acted in 2 Nepali Movies , i had experience of working with Manoj Pandit( Dasdhunga) and Pitamber pandey(Batch No. 16). Though the role were short but i had good experience on screen. Now some of my colleague are doing Mainstream movies, but i didn't see any space for acting which i learned from actor's stutio, nepal. I ususally don't watch Nepali Mainstream Movies but When i watch them, I fall sleep during the movie time, this is all because of Nepali film not being made by well equipped craft. There are all weakness in all aspects of Cinema in Nepali Movie, the narrative is always missing from the movie and the acting goes hapazardly, actors act mechanically as termed by the great Stanislavasky. They all don't know what they are trying to show to people, there are always same scene, hero beating up goons and hero falling from tree or house, which is not at all linked with the story of movie. The story has little to paly in Nepali movies and they go beyond our society's realism. Even if there i a good story they narrate it in a opposite way. Once I heard a Screenpaly writer complaining about the script of "Sirish ko Phool" based on a Novel by Nepali Prominet Writer Parijat. He was aked to add a comic scene in a screenplay, the novel is pessimestic in its theme. This kind of incident shows the qualifications of so called Industry people.

On the other hand There are some people who are making good movie, but they are not getting the market rights and There are Movie Like 'Numafung'-Navven Subba ,'Mukundo'-Chhiring Ritar Sherpa and 'Karma' which have got thumping appalaud from Film critic around the world. And there are people who are trying to tell a story to audience and trying new storytelling techinque, but these aspiring film maker have not given support by state and the distributor. Whenever Some new film maker goes to ditributor he is always being asked about the hero of movie, naming Rajesh Hamal or Biraj Bhatta and they come back with despair.

I know this comment can be bit harsh to Some dirctors,Film makers and Actors, this is the Reality.SO as being from New generation I'm also attempting to make a movie , I have finished screenplay and some pre production. I postponed film shoot becoz of hot Weather in terai and also lack of fund , i'll be posting synopsois of Movie in coming days.
